  The bulk of the world production of butyl rubber(IIR) is made by a slurry process at -98 ℃ to -90 ℃ in methyl chloride diluent. However, the slurry particles are easy to agglomerate when the polymerization temperature fluctuates. Some patents describe the use of block-copolymer stabilizing agents to create steric repulsion forces between slurry particles and prevent agglomeration[1].To improve the processability of IIR and achieve the balance between green strength and stress relaxation properties[2], the branching agent needs to be introduced to obtain the desired high molecular mass butyl polymers.……
