Atom transfer radical polymerization of isoprene initiated by PhCH2Cl/MoCl3(OC8H17)2/PPh3

  Atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of isoprene has been rarely reported in the open literature up to now[1]. In this paper the ATRP of isoprene using a novel initiation system, benzyl chloride ( PhCH2Cl ) as the initiator,MoCl3(OC8H17)2 as the catalyst, and PPh3 as the ligand,was investigated.……
